The entire 2021 Mazda lineup named TOP SAFETY PICK+ by the IIHS
March 30 2021,
Mazda’s complete 2021 lineup has received the top safety rating from the IIHS, the organization responsible for evaluating vehicle safety in North America. This means that every Mazda vehicle, from the Mazda CX-5 to the Mazda3 to the Mazda CX-30, offers the highest level of safety.
A vehicle must receive the top grade in every test including moderate overlap front, driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests to be considered for the TOP SAFETY PICK+.
The IIHS also tests headlights and active safety features, and a TOP SAFETY PICK+ must receive the highest grade here again to receive the coveted designation.
“With safety a top priority for Mazda, we are proud to have every Mazda vehicle tested earn the coveted 2021 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award. This accomplishment stems from our commitment to our owners,” said Mazda North American Operations President Jeff Guyton. “Our customers have come to expect Mazda’s dedication to providing advanced safety technologies paired with dynamic styling, which give them a confident and more enjoyable driving experience.”
