The 2022 Mazda MX-30 is a new take on electrification

With the increase in the price of gas, more and more consumers are interested in buying an electric vehicle. If you are in that group, the 2022 Mazda MX-30 is definitely worth considering. The new 2022 Mazda MX-30 is a different take on the traditional electric vehicle, providing an affordable way to get behind the wheel of an EV.

The first thing you will notice about the 2022 Mazda MX-30 is that it has slightly less range than other electric vehicles. The electric motor is a 35.5 kWh lightweight lithium ion battery that provides 161 km of range. Right away you might be thinking that this is a lot less than the competition and you should look elsewhere. The fact remains that for most consumers, the 2022 Mazda MX-30 actually offers plenty of usable range.

Think about it, how many times do you actually need to drive over 150 km? Now think about your daily commute. The average commute in Canada is 8.7 km. Now yours may be more than that, maybe 20 or 30 km to get to work each way. Still, with 161 km of range you certainly can get to your destination and back without any issues.

This leads us to the other advantage of the 2022 Mazda MX-30. The charging time. The 2022 Mazda MX-30 can charge up from 20% to 80% in approximately 36 minutes on a level III charger with 50 kW. Other electric vehicles can charge up very fast on a level 3 chargers as well, but they usually require 100 kW or 150 kW to get close to 36 minutes. In Québec, most electric vehicle level III chargers are 50 kW. So while other electric vehicles have to stay behind as they charge, you will be able to head back out on the road in just over 30 minutes. The 2022 Mazda MX-30 also charges a lot faster at your house.

In other words, the 2022 Mazda MX-30 is definitely an option for many consumers looking for an electric vehicle. You get enough range to do what you need to do every day but you also enjoy much quicker charging times. Moreover, you enjoy an electric vehicle that is a lot of fun to drive and that has a very refined and upscale interior. And, the Mazda MX-30 is very affordable, a lot more affordable than most electric vehicles. You can get a fully loaded model for under $48,000, and that doesn't even include the full rebates from the government. That means that a Mazda MX-30 with all the equipment could cost you less than $40,000. You will not find a better value in another electric vehicle. Give us a call today to learn more.
