Mazda CX-50 announced alongside two other SUVs coming next year
October 08 2021,
Mazda made a major announcement this week, confirming that a brand-new sport utility vehicle, the Mazda CX-50, will launch next year. It will be followed by two other models including a new three-row SUV. Let’s take a look at the three new SUVs coming to North America and that we will see in the next 14 months.
New Mazda CX-50
The new Mazda CX-50 will be based on the Mazda CX-30, although it will be closer to the new and redesigned 2022 Mazda CX-5 in terms of size. It will feature an enhanced all-wheel drive system with better off-road capabilities, and promises to be perfect for buyers who want to take their Mazda off the beaten path. We will see the new Mazda CX-50 next month, and production will begin as early as next January.
New Mazda CX-90
The new Mazda CX-90 will be a three-row SUV that will be introduced in 2022. It will be built on Mazda’s new longitudinal architecture and feature a turbocharged straight-six engine. It will also offer a new plug-in hybrid engine!
New Mazda CX-70
The Mazda CX-70 will be closely related to the CX-90. It will also be a midsize SUV, but it will have just two rows of seats as opposed to three. It will have the same engine lineup and will also be built on the new architecture.
We can’t wait to see the new Mazda CX-50 and the new CX-90 and CX-70. Stay tuned for more information!
