Here is What’s New on the 2022 Mazda CX-5
February 16 2022,
The Mazda CX-5 has received a redesign for 2022 that modernizes it and allows it to remain one of the most competitive models in its class.
More modern styling
The 2022 Mazda CX-5 has been reworked and modernized to give it a more sophisticated and luxurious appearance. The front and rear bumpers have been refined by softening some of the character lines to give them a sleeker look, and in a similar fashion, the grille has been given a three-dimensional texture instead of the old mesh material.
The headlights and taillights are also new, and their design, which incorporates two horizontal blocks of LEDs each, creates a distinctive visual signature that makes the CX-5 easier to recognize by day or night. New alloy wheels complete the new exterior appearance, which makes it stand out from its competitors and look more like premium vehicles.
More technology
The 2022 Mazda CX-5 features more technology and refinements than ever before, such as the i-Activ all-wheel-drive system, which is now standard on all models and makes driving even more dynamic and safe, or the Drive Mode Selector, which allows you to adjust the engine and transmission settings to better suit your driving style or mood. Improvements have also been made to the suspension to make the CX-5 more comfortable, which is also helped by the front seats, which are of a brand-new design.
Of course, the driving dynamics that Mazda is known for have not been forgotten and this new model is even more fun to drive than the previous one. To complement Mazda's recent move upmarket, the Signature version, at the top of the CX-5 lineup in 2022, sees its interior adorned with Nappa leather and real wood trims, while its exterior benefits from body-colored accents and silver-finished alloy wheels, which help make it look more elegant.
