November 15 2021,
Mazda has unveiled its latest sport utility vehicle today with the introduction of the all-new 2023 Mazda CX-50. The Mazda CX-50 will go on sale next year and production will begin in January at the Mazda Toyota manufacturing plant in Huntsville Alabama.
The Mazda CX-50 will slot next to the Mazda CX-30 and Mazda CX-5 in the Mazda SUV lineup. It will come with many of the powertrain options that are already available in those two models including a standard 2.5 L four-cylinder engine as well as a turbocharged 2.5 L four-cylinder. That means that right out of the gate the CX-50 will deliver better horsepower than most of its competitors. We can expect to see some new electrified versions down the road as well.
The 2023 Mazda CX-50 was designed for adventure. We can see it in its rugged design that comes with roof rails as well as rugged wheels and impressive tires. When you step inside, you find the MI-Drive mode select system which allows you to choose different driving modes based on road conditions and get the most out of your CX-50. The 2023 Mazda CX-50 also comes with standard all-wheel drive.
"The world-class design and dynamic driving performance of the CX-50 on and off-road makes it unique in the compact SUV segment and within our own line-up, and will support the CX-30 and CX-5 in offering consumers even more choice for every diverse lifestyle," said David Klan, President and CEO, Mazda Canada Inc. "More than ever, our customers are looking for a vehicle that can do more and take them further, and CX-50 will answer the call."
The Mazda CX-50 is designed to easily accept off-road equipment and anything that you need to take your CX-50 to the great outdoors. The CX-50 has the perfect height and length for loading common outdoor equipment and the high-strength roof rails and reinforced b-pillars and door jams ensure safe transport using the roof of the CX-50.
